The cynical attitude, “I can’t make a difference,” prevents you from doing your part and actually participating. Voting is not enough. You must tell your representative and senators what you want them to do.

But, it’s unfair to only write when you disagree with what they’ve done. You should also tell them when you approve of actions they’ve taken and votes they’ve cast even if they don’t win. Scold and praise. It’s like training a puppy.

Many of you are smarter than the people in politics. Give them the benefit of your thinking.
