America’s high corporate tax rates encourage businesses to merge with foreign companies in order to domicile in the foreign country. The opposite is also true. Countries with lower, competitive corporate tax rates attract businesses to headquarter there.
America would not be losing companies, and would attract foreign businesses to HQ here (and collect taxes from them) if we would just lower our tax rates.
Tax rates matter. If you keep harming companies, they will simply leave.
It’s happening within our own country. Businesses in California are relocating to Texas and other business-friendly states in order to keep costs down and provide their products at competitive prices.

Ferguson is a test of character. We are seeing hundreds of people fail that test. These are not good people who were suddenly turned by the situation. The thieves and vandals at work now have always been thieves and vandals. They’re just working out in the open.
Your vulnerability is their opportunity.
Arm yourselves. It’s the only thing that keeps them away.
The cynical attitude, “I can’t make a difference,” prevents you from doing your part and actually participating. Voting is not enough. You must tell your representative and senators what you want them to do.
But, it’s unfair to only write when you disagree with what they’ve done. You should also tell them when you approve of actions they’ve taken and votes they’ve cast even if they don’t win. Scold and praise. It’s like training a puppy.
Many of you are smarter than the people in politics. Give them the benefit of your thinking.
