At dawn on April 19, 1775. About 70 armed Massachusetts militiamen stand face to face on Lexington Green with the British advance guard. An unordered ‘shot heard around the world’ begins the American Revolution. A volley of British muskets followed by a charge with bayonets leaves eight Americans dead and ten wounded. The British regroup and head for the depot in Concord, destroying the colonists’ weapons and supplies. At the North Bridge in Concord, a British platoon is attacked by militiamen, with 14 casualties.

… which enact restrictive regulations to control our lives. Regulations are really laws (allowing punishment) that bypass the legislative process. The people and their representatives have no say.
The use of agencies, headed by appointees, allows elected officials to be at least one step removed from the control they exert through their like-minded appointees.
This setup gives the elected officials deniability. Laws can be ignored and blatant lies can be fed to the public. When the situation gets too much attention the offending agent will be fired for the cameras and sent home, with a bonus – and pension intact. Another appointment is made and the agenda goes on.

We have too many laws divorced from the concept of Right and Wrong. Many laws exist not to punish wrong-doing, but to punish and stifle disagreement, to herd the people.

We, the good people, overwhelmingly outnumber the bad. No matter where the bad guy goes he is surrounded and outnumbered.
But in places with anti-gun laws the situation is turned upside down. There, crowds are just large numbers of defenseless targets.
Wherever there are a lot of good guys with guns the bad guys get off fewer shots. The bad guys might reconsider their plans if they knew their lives would be measured in seconds once they start shooting.
Bring or keep a personal firearm wherever you go.
In your opinion, which is worse, to be a good person caught with a contraband gun, or, to be good and dead?
Get a handgun, get training, and carry it.
Disarming the law-abiding public has never resulted in a safer environment.

This morning I read an article about mammogram testing:

A large study published Tuesday adds to the growing body of research concluding that screening mammograms save relatively few lives from breast cancer while discovering many cancers that wouldn’t have caused problems if left alone.

My comments:
For decades we’ve been told to “do this, do that, test for this every year, test for that every five years, get your doctor to do this and that” – when it was on our dime.
I think there’s going to be a huge reduction in public service announcements advising to get tests. Many preventive tests that have saved lives, as in the above article, will be questioned and downplayed.
Watch for:
obamacare – just one of the CHANGEs liberals voted for.
P.S. The above article cites a study by the British Medical Journal. The UK has a single-payer healthcare system.

Do something about it. Don’t be the government’s weapon against the citizens. Get the blue flu. Refuse to obey the order. Talk to your fellow officers.
If you can, get word to the victim that a raid is headed his way.
